Insurance Verifier Supervisor - TPS-Managed Care

To supervise and assist verification staff with systematic verification of insurance and Medicare eligibility and benefits which will assist Beverly providers in managing patient accounting. As a working supervisor, the Insurance Verifier supervisor is responsible for: Supervision: Hiring, orientation, retention, staff development, daily supervision and on-going education of assigned insurance verification associates Schedules and monitoring of workload and staffing levels Counseling, training, addressing disciplinary problems and performance appraisals Assisting with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to insurance verifier job description Assisting with preparation and distribution of all documents and reports related to verification services provided by insurance verifiers. Customer Service: Provide customer service to facility staff and payor verifiers related to the verification process for all applicable insurance, Medicare or supplemental payor types Collect additional information if necessary from facility staff to assist in the eligibility and verification process Document and return all calls in a timely and efficient manner. Insurance Verification: Obtain insurance benefits from appropriate source and communicate information to facility staff Maintain and-or exceed daily production and turn-around standards established for senior verifiers (as training and supervisory schedule permits) Prepare necessary documents for insurance company, case managers, and facility staff related to eligibility and verification process. Quality Improvement: Assist with periodic audits of department performance. Other Duties: Contribute to team effort by performing and completing other duties as assigned Must adhere to Beverly Enterprises' code of Conduct and Business Ethics policy including documentation and reporting responsibilities. Minimum High School Diploma. This position is located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of two (2) years experience in Managed Care Network or comparable experience. Must be Sr. Insurance Verifier. Must have a minimum of 18 months experience verifying all types of insurance policies processed. One to two (1-2) years experience in health care. Able to assist with training of verification to new associates. Minimum of six (6) months during which they have consistently met and-or exceeded department production standards. Must be able to relate positively and work cooperatively with other associates at all levels, as well as with outside contacts. Must possess keyboard proficiency. Knowledgeable in medical terminology. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Must meet all local health regulations, pass pre-employment and random post-employment drug tests and pass post-employment physical exam if required.
